Ballers Sign RHP Elijah Pleasants
OAKLAND, Calif. - February 27, 2024
The Oakland Ballers sign RHP Elijah Pleasants to a contract for the 2024 season.
Pleasants was a 36th Round pick of the Kansas City Royals in the 2018 MLB Draft from Rossview HS in Tennessee.
He did not sign with Kansas City and began his college career with the University of Tennessee, where he was used mostly out of the bullpen. He played there for three seasons from 2019-2021 before transferring to Dallas Baptist in 2022 and Trevecca Nazarene in 2023.
He last pitched for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers of the MLB Draft League in 2023 for Ballers Pitching Coach Ray King. Pleasants is the fifth member of the 2023 Scrappers team to join the Ballers in 2024.
Home game times for the inaugural season at Raimondi Park are now released. First pitches on weekday games are scheduled for 6:35 PM and weekends at 1:05 PM.
